British forces along with the United States invade Afghanistan to destroy the Taliban in 2001 when America asked the Taliban to hand over the mastermind of 9/11 Osama Bin Ladin, but the Taliban refused. For nearly 20 years, NATO Allies and partner countries had military forces deployed to Afghanistan under a United Nations (UN) Security Council mandate, to ensure there would be no other terror attack in NATO countries. There were no terror attacks from Afghanistan land in the last two and a half decades. While thousands of NATO soldiers were killed in Afghanistan.

How America control terrorism

In 2003 NATO led the International Security Assistant Force(ISAF), which aimed to create conditions where the government of Afghanistan exercises its authority to control the country's terrorism and fight against international terrorism. ISAF took 11 years to take complete responsibility for security across their country. Before leaving Afghanistan NATO trained Afghan forces and institutions to fight against terrorism and secure their people and country. NATO terminated the mission in 2021, left Afghanistan, and suspended all support. Taliban resurged and again occupied Afghanistan and start humanity violations.

Killing of Osama Bin Ladin

America was searching for Osama Bin Laden for a decade and The United state conducted an operation on 2 May 2011 in Abbottabad city of Pakistan to kill Osama bin Ladin, the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, and many other terror attacks to kill thousands of innocent people. Finally, America caught bin Ladin after almost 10 years of the 9/11 attack.
